Instagram Algorithm Hacks For 2022

The Complete Guide to the New Instagram Algorithm and How to Hack It for Maximum Engagement

The Instagram Algorithm

Instagram’s recent change of algorithm has caused many issues and controversies, especially in regards to the “Insta-spam” epidemic. The new algorithm change, which reduces the exposure of posts that are not a great fit for a user’s interests, has led to users complaining about their feeds being filled with less-interesting content and complicated stories. In response to these complaints, Instagram has made some changes with the algorithm that have resulted in less posts being seen by users.

What is Engagement and Why Does Instagram Care?

Instagram is a social media platform that is all about sharing photos and videos with friends. The more people engage with your content, the more likely you are to show up in their feed.

So what does Instagram care about? They care about your engagement rate. This means that if you post a photo or video and the number of likes or comments you get is high, then you are more likely to show up in someone’s feed. It’s also important to note that this doesn’t mean that if you post a photo and it doesn’t get many likes, then it won’t show up in someone’s feed.

The more time people spend on Instagram, the more ads they are exposed to. This creates a cycle where people are exposed to more ads and then spend more time on the app. The engagement rate is what Instagram cares about because it is one of the most important metrics for the company.

Instagram has been experimenting with different algorithms in order to increase user engagement and make it harder for people to use third party apps to make their posts look bigger. Engagement is important for Instagram because it’s a key metric that determines the ranking of posts on the platform. In order to keep users engaged and coming back to the app, Instagram has been testing a number of different features to see what works best.

The company has been testing features like asking users to turn off push notifications, changing the algorithm and showing more posts from friends and family.

How Can I Improve My Content Strategy For 2022?

The content strategy for 2022 is about quality and engagement. Content marketers need to focus on creating outstanding content that will increase their followers, likes, shares and comments. They also need to make sure that the content is engaging enough to keep their readers on the platform for a long time. The content strategies for 2022 will be different than what we have been accustomed to in the past few years because of the rapid change in technology and social media algorithms. .The use of video is going to be massive and so is the use of chatbots. The content that will be delivered will not just be from one source, but from all sources. Video content on social media has become a massive trend. in the past few years, with Facebook and Instagram alone generating billions in views a day.

Content strategy 2022 – Quality and Engagement In content strategy for 2022 an emphasis has been put on quality because it is more engaging and will attract better audiences. Social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram were originally design to be teeming with engagement which meant that people who engaged with the content being posted would be more likely to see advertisements. Today, social media platforms are doing the opposite by focusing on not just engagement but also on quality.

What Does This Mean For You as an Influencer or Brand Owner that Wants To Grow Their Following On IG in 2023?

If your idea is to build a brand on Instagram in 2019, when we look at what the future holds, it’s important to consider that brands and influencers need to plan for growth. One way is through building a community of people who share the same values. This can be done by interacting with the community, joining affiliate programs, email lists, and engagement groups.

How to Hack Your Way to Higher Engagement with These 15 Hacks for 2022

The more followers you have, the more engaged people you can reach. And the higher your engagement rates are, the better your chances of getting those coveted organic followers.

Engagement is the key to success on social media. It’s what drives the growth of your followers and your reach. But it’s not always easy to get. Never pay for followers or to promote posts. They decrease your engagement because they don’t interact with your content.

But how do you get more followers without paying for them? There are many ways to “hack” your way to higher engagement on social media. Here are 15 hacks that you can use in 2022 to increase your engagement and reach.

1. Use Reels (See our blog on using reels)

2. Improve the quality of your content – This can be accomplished by using a program like InVideo. InVideo contains hundreds of premade video templates for you to use. It’s easy, affordable, and will give you professional results.
Sign up for InVideo Here:

3. Listen to experts – Influencers in social media often offer their knowledge for free. One of my favorite accounts for knowledge is Derek Videll  of Social Bamboo. He has a robust Instagram page and YouTube Channel. One of the greatest assets is his willingness to help, no matter where you are in your journey. Derek has been our inspiration and source of knowledge since the beginning of  our journey. He has helped us to grow into this amazing group.

3. Use relevant hashtags – Search for other accounts in your industry and look at what hashtags they use. Always use relevant hashtags to your industry, niche, or specialty. Search the hashtags you use in the Instagram search button to see every post that has used that hashtag. Keeping track of the post count in the hashtags you use will enable you to use hashtags that fit with your post and have a good mix of big, medium, and smaller hashtags. If you are in a small niche, you may not find a large hashtag cloud, but if you broaden your interest a little, like #DIY, #Craft, if you are in that sub-niche.

4. Engage with other influencers by liking, commenting, and sharing their content – This will make you show higher in their feed and gives you a greater chance at being noticed. You can join our new project CreativeResinMarketplace to connect with Resin Artists across the world.

5. Create contests and giveaways with prizes that align with your brand’s values. Give away freebies to incentivize followers to engage with you and share content: We’re having a HUGE giveaway! Ends 10/9/22.

6. Post on Instagram stories at different times than usual – Test the timing of your stories to figure out when the best time to post is. A spreadsheet can be highly valuable for tracking your posts progress. The insights tool in Instagram will give you amazing data about who your followers are, what times they are on, age range, etc. If you do not have access to the insights tool, you may need to switch to a business account.

7. Create a call to action in your bio – Creating a call to action, like asking them to go to your website,, or shop, will increase traffic to your sales channels.

8. Use location tags for local events and businesses (especially during the holidays) – Adding your hometown and/or state will get your post shown to more local accounts.

9. Use an engaging headline – Sometimes all it takes to get a follower is a catchy headline that resonates with them. Figure out what your audience wants to see and capitalize on that information.

10. Post once a day and make sure that every post is adding value to their feed – People don’t want to see your kids if they follow you for your art. Keep your personal and professional accounts separate so the algorithm can figure out what you are doing and who to show your content to.

11. Ask questions in posts, or ask for opinions or advice from followers – This lets them know that you value their opinion, and gets them to interact with your post.

12. Provide your followers with a way to subscribe to your blog, email, newsletter, or other channels. This can be achieved with a or landing page.

13. Join an engagement group. An engagement group likes, comments, shares, and saves each others posts. This is organized though Instagram chats and works well when all members participate. You can contact us if you are interested in the engagement group.

14. Connect with manufacturers of products you use – Manufacturers usually provide a card with an email to contact them. One way to approach a manufacturer is to find errors in their listings and offer to fix them for them. Amazing things can come from interactions such as these. Take the concept one step further and you could create a side-business just fixing Amazon listings. There are many companies that can use help with their grammar,. Make contact and ask if they want help. What do you have to lose?

15. Only follow people who you want to interact with in your feed. Otherwise you will waste time scrolling through posts that you don’t really care about. That hurts their engagement and reach because Instagram thinks it’s not interesting. Once a few people do that, the algorithm stops pushing it to the top of peoples feeds. You are not helping someone by giving them a follow and not interacting with their posts, you’re hurting their account. A healthy account should get at least 10% of their follower count on every post. If you have 1000 followers, you should get 100 views. If you have 777, you should get at least 77 views on each.

What can you do if your account is not performing?

First, look at the followers you have. Are they in your niche? Same thing with who you are following. Are you helping their account with engagement? If not, help them out by letting go. Sometimes you have to pull the weeds from your account. Just like a garden. Weeds can strangle your plants. Bad accounts can strangle yours. And paying for followers is the worst thing you can do.

Once you feel good about your account, look at your content. Compare your content to the reels page. If you think you can’t do reels like that, look for reels that have a sticker that says “Use Template”. Play around with trending audio and effects.

Have you ever wondered if there was a place to see all of the available effects? You can! Instagram has an official account that lists all of the available effects. The link to Instagram’s official account is:

There is also an official Instagram account for businesses:

Complete Guide To Silicone Molds

The Complete Guide to Silicone Mold Making and How You Can Use It For Your Own Projects

Introduction: What is Silicone Mold Making?

Silicone molds are used by companies and artists in a variety of industries to produce products that are made from various materials.

Silicone molds are used in the production of many different products, such as epoxy resin, candle making, toys, and automotive parts. They can be made of different types of silicone depending on the application.

There are two main types of silicone molds: positive and negative. A positive mold is one that has a cavity which will be filled with liquid silicone to create the final product. A negative mold is one that has a shape that will be filled with liquid silicone to create the final product.

Types of Silicone for Mold Making

Tin Cured and Platinum Cured

The main difference between tin-cure and platinum-cure silicone mold making rubbers is in the metal used to catalyze or cure the base silicone. Tin-cure rubber relies on traces of tin, while platinum-cure rubbers are based solely on platinum. As a result, tin-cure silicone rubbers usually cost less than platinum-cure ones.

Performance Differences between the 2 silicone types:

Mold-making rubbers can be inhibited from curing by contaminants on surfaces. If you’re using a modeling clay that contains sulfur (typically older types), the rubber may become sensitive and easily damaged. Platinum-cure silicone rubbers have a critical sensitivity to sulfur. If they are exposed to it, they will not cure at all. Tin cure silicones can cure over models containing sulfur as long as the surface is thoroughly sealed with an acrylic spray.

A major difference between these two systems is the shrinkage of cured rubber over a period of time – short term vs. long term. The long-term shrinkage is typically measured in percentages of the original thickness, but it can also be given as a percentage of the amount for which the rubber has been stretched. In short term tests, shrinkage was found to be only about 10% after two years; this would mean that at two years, a given sample of rubber would be 50% thinner Tin-cure silicone rubber molds generally exhibit higher shrinkage over time depending on the type of mold rubber being used, material being cast into the rubber mold, mold configuration, and other variables.

Mold Release Agents for Silicone Molds

Silicone-to-silicone applications such as making two-part molds or casting silicone into silicone are possible, but require a release agent. This release agent cannot contain a significant amount of silicone oil. Here are some release options:

  • Mann Ease Release™ 200 is formulated specifically for releasing silicone rubber from silicone and other surfaces. Applied as a light mist coat, it will not interfere with surface detail.

  • A mixture of 2 parts isopropyl alcohol and 1 part dish soap can be used in some cases to release silicone from silicone.

  • Petroleum jelly can be used to release silicone from silicone, but it should be thinned with mineral spirits so that it can be applied in a thin layer with minimal visible brush strokes.

If you’re trying a new silicone recipe and want to be sure that your release agent will work, we recommend testing it at a smaller scale.

Silicone Mold Design Process

Silicone mold design process is a process of making a rubber mold from an object.

The first step is to create the silicone mold design. This can be done by using a CAD program or by using an object that you already have available.

Next, you need to create the silicone mold container. This should be a little bigger than the object to be cast. A simple method is to use foam board to create the container. For added ease of releasing the final product, you can coat the inner surfaces with Tyvek (available at the post office as waterproof mailing envelopes. Use hot glue to assemble your box.

Next, you will need to place your object to be cast into your container. You will need to lift it off the bottom of the container. In my example, I used hot glue sticks to lift the object off the bottom of the container. These will also be my pour holes to fill the mold.

Pour the silicone over the object in your container. Wait 24 hours, and remove from the container.

Removing the Object From the Mold

Once the silicone has cured, and the mold removed from the container, you will need to remove the object from the center of the mold. There are many great YouTube videos dealing with this topic. Here’s one that shows how to remove your object effectively.

Once removed, you are ready to cast your piece using your new mold! Mix Puduo Resin and pour into the mold. Wait 10 hours and enjoy your custom piece.

Conclusion & Resources

Creating a mold is not as hard as it sounds. All it takes is a vision and a little work. As a beginner in mold creation, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to create the mold. I used Translucent Platinum RTV-2 Liquid Silicone Rubber. Available HERE.

Resin Curing in 2 Hours!

Amazing Hack to Quickly Cure Puduo 1:1 Epoxy Resin

What is Quick Resin Curing?

Quick Resin Curing is a quick way of curing epoxy resin. When using a 1:1 ratio epoxy resin, it typically takes 8-10 hours to cure your product. This is quick compared to other epoxies which can take 24-72 hours before you can remove it from your mold. 2:1 and 3:1 epoxy is also available which typically take 48+ hours to cure. We will only be discussing the Puduo 1:1 Epoxy Resin in this blog.

A common mistake made by artists is not accurately measuring their product. Too much of Part B can lead to a runaway reaction which may ruin your project, and waste your time. To avoid this, make sure you measure carefully to ensure that you have the right amount of each part.

How Epoxy Resin Works

In epoxy resin, there is a component A and component B. When combined and mixed, they react to create a clear solid. This reaction takes 8-10 hours when you use Puduo Epoxy Resin. This epoxy formula is a 1:1 ratio epoxy. Puduo also carries a 2:1 resin for deep pours, and an anti-yellowing epoxy for outdoor applications. The anti-yellowing has an 8-10 hour cure time, and the deep pour 2:1 has a 24-72 hour cure time.

Once the epoxy has cured, it can be removed from the silicone mold and allowed to fully cure, on a flat surface, for 24-72 hours. The curing process is affected by the environment. At lower temperatures, curing will take longer than usual. Whereas high temperatures reduce the curing time.

Quick Curing Resin Projects in 2 Hours*

By introducing heat to your project, you will cure your project quicker. This can be done with a heating pad or a curing machine. I can’t recommend a heating pad because they vary widely and if you get it wrong, it will ruin your project. Luckily Puduo has solved this problem for us. The new Puduo Curing Machine will soon be here!

Here’s what they have told us so far:
1) In tests, they were able to remove their projects from the mold in 2 hours.
2) The unit is big enough to house a cup turner.
3) Adjustable temperature range from 95 – 160 F
4) Adjustable timer from 1 – 300 minutes
5) Adjustable fan for cooling after curing has completed

They have received a prototype and are currently testing it to see how it performs using different times and temperatures. They will use this data to come up with an informed  instruction sheet so that we all know how to use it effectively. We will keep you updated on this exciting product!

Is This Product Suitable for Your Project?

This product will help you be more productive by giving you the ability to quickly produce your ideas and create as much as possible within your available time.  If you want to get more done, this product is perfect for you.

Another plus to this product is that you will be able to use the curing space for more projects throughout the day. We have a small space available for curing, and when we are working on many projects, we will have to stop because there’s no more room to cure items. This will free up your curing space quicker and allow you to move on to your next project.

*Note: Only the Puduo 1:1 has been tested so far. The 2 hour curing time applies to the 1:1 formula. We will update you with the curing times for the other formulas as we test it.

Puduo Hand Cleaner Vs. Rubbing Alcohol

The Complete Guide to Resin Cleaning Agents

One of the most important aspects of working with resins, of any form, is being able to safely and effectively remove it from your skin, tools, and molds. Safely removing products from your skin is by far the most important point to consider. Rubbing alcohol, Acetone, and Hand Scrubs are the most common cleaning agents.

The most widely used cleaning agent for epoxy resin is rubbing alcohol. This, and Acetone, are not recommended for the same reasons. First, both are flammable, which means that it poses a danger if you are working with an open flame or near an open flame. Secondly, they can dry out your skin and cause irritation or allergic reactions. Finally, both work by thinning the resin so that they can be rinsed off. This could pose a hazard if absorbed into the skin.

A better option is a hand scrub such as Puduo Hand Scrub. Puduo Hand scrub works by adhering to the resin and coating the particles so that they can be easily rinsed off with water. This product contains fine abrasive particles which work with the liquid to lift the resin off of your skin. Rinse with water and your hands will be clean with a fresh scent!

Puduo Hand Scrub works on your tools and molds too! The surfaces of your tools and molds should be free from dirt and other contaminants, otherwise the resin can become contaminated with particles, and may not adhere to the mold properly. In order to maintain cleanliness, a cleaning agent should be used after every use.

Puduo Hand Scrub is available now on the PuduoFamily website and on Amazon

Flower Drying and Use in Puduo Epoxy Resin

Using Dried Flowers With Puduo Resin

Using dried flowers is simple and can be a lot of fun! Dried flowers can be purchased through sites like Amazon, at hobby stores like Michaels or Hobby Lobby, or you can pick and dry your own. As we live in the desert, and the spring flowers are in bloom, we decided to go pick some flowers, dry them, then create something beautiful on a Live Stream. This is the same technique you would use for fresh roses, fruit, or anything else that has moisture.

Moisture is the enemy of epoxy resin. It can cause fogging, uneven cure, and general chaos in the product. If you epoxy something that contains moisture, it can rot inside the piece. That’s why it’s vital to remove all moisture.

You can remove moisture a number of ways. The sun, a dehydrator, Silica Gel, a book, or anything that will suck the moisture out quickly.

  1. Sun – You can dry some items in the sun. Depending on how fragile the item is will determine if this method is right for your project.
  2. Dehydrators come in a variety of sizes and prices. Here are 2 that you can purchase from Amazon. I have not tested these products, so be sure to read about their proper use.
    1. This is a lower cost option:
    2. This one is the more expensive version:
  3. Book – You can use a thick book to press and dry your flowers. Use copy paper between the pages so the flowers wont stick to the pages.

For this project you will need:

  1. Fresh flowers – These can be hand picked, or purchased from a store.
  2. Silica Gel – This can be purchased from Amazon.
  3. Container with a lid. Here’s an example from Amazon.
  4. Puduo ResinAvailable here
  5. Silicone mold of your choice – Here are some Amazon Selections

Follow these steps:

  1. Pour silica gel into your container. 1/4 to 1/2 of the way is good.
  2. Place your fresh flowers on the silica gel. Close the lid on the container.
  3. Wait until the flowers are dry. Drying time will vary depending on the amount of moisture in the flower. Expect between 2-10 days.
  4. Once fully dried, insert your flowers into the mold, mix your Puduo Resin, and fill your mold. Wait 8-12 hours before demolding. Set on a flat surface for at least 12 hours after demolding to finish your curing process.

Mask Your Puduo Resin Project With Latex For Unique Effects

Easy Technique To Create Unique Effects

Using latex, you can easily mask off any area you wish, to create dramatic effects with Puduo Resin. In this live stream from Facebook, co-founder of the US Support Team @Sacred7Senses takes you through the steps required to create this selenite moon pyramid. This blog has a companion video included below.

Using a 5.9 inch pyramid mold from Amazon, Ashley first poured about an inch of liquid latex in the tip and let it cure (About 8 hours). She then poured Just enough to leave a small portion exposed for the resin to bond to, and let cure overnight.

After the latex cured, Ashley mixed up some Puduo Resin and poured the first of 4 layers. In this layer she added some soap clouds. Soap clouds can be made easily by putting bar soap chunks in the microwave! Amazingly easy technique!

Each additional layer of Puduo Resin was used to add glitter and pigments to the mixture to achieve her desired results. Watch the full video below!

Turn a Dollar Tree Tray into $50

We all go through it. We make something that we think is spectacular only to have it sit in inventory for a long time. As artists, we need to be able to sell our creations in order to continue our art journey. I have used many of the molds you find on Amazon. I happen to be lucky enough to have a shop where I can put my pieces, for as long as I want, and sell them. This enables me to see what sells best.

This tray has been one of our best sellers for a couple of years at our shop. Typically people want them for unique rolling trays or dab trays, but that’s because that is how I design and market them. These trays are cheap to get, easy to make, and easy to sell. The ease of sale is directly related to how the tray looks. So make sure your design elements look good together. Feel free to copy me exactly to get a hang of it. I would love to see your version of this tray!

For this project, I have:

1) 2 metal Dollar Tree trays

2) Puduo Resin

3) Glow Pigment

4) UV Reactive Pigment

5) Hand picked and pressed flowers

6) Stickers

7) Rose Quartz barrels and Quartz Points

8) UV Light – This can be sunlight, UV Flashlight, or UV Laser

Available in our shop now!

This project uses 220 ml per pour. Each tray gets approximately 100 ml each per layer. Each tray takes 2 layers, although you can add more if your design calls for it.

This project was streamed live on Instagram and Facebook. If you would like to see the original recording. We have live streams every Tuesday and Thursday nights. Catch our latest, or catch up on previous episodes on Instagram or Facebook.

The first coat is your base coat. It will contain your glow, UV, or whatever pigments you decide to use. I find that people are really attracted to the glow trays. With four different colors of glow, the possibilities are endless!

The second coat is your flood coat. Please be sure to read our special blog on mixing Puduo. There is important information on mixing this to get professional results!

By using different components to your tray, you can turn it into a ring tray, jewelry tray, or just a decorative tray. On these dab trays, I put a glass spoon for the wax and crystals to hold the pipe when done.

If you would like the UV Flashlight or any of the crystal products featured in this blog, you can contact me through messenger.

Big Letter Lamp Pour

Have you seen the big letter molds? How about a big letter mold lamp? Well, over the past week, I have been creating a big letter “A” lamp.

I wanted to do this project to show how easy it is to use Puduo Resin on a deep pour. This pour was done in 3 layers on Instagram, Facebook Live, and a complete run through on YouTube. The original, full videos can be found on Instagram and Facebook

Doing a deep pour with a casting resin is a delicate dance. You want to pour the least number of layers without having a flash cure. Flash cures occur when the chemical reaction creates so much heat that it cures in minutes. The result is that the epoxy contracts so fast that it can’t remain level. Therefore, it pulls away typically at the corners. You may also notice a blocky look on the surface as parts cured a little quicker.

With Puduo, you can typically pour 200 ml without having a flash cure. This is in a room between 70-80 F. Using this formula will allow you to pour the least number of layers.

This mold came to us from   We were asked to try this product and supplied a sample of their product. We were very happy with this mold. You can find the complete set of alphabet molds here. You will receive a discount upon clicking this link.

alphabet Pouring this mold is easy. There are no complex designs to trap air bubbles, and the amount of space in the mold makes it an easy pour to decorate. Use flowers, lights, or whatever else you want to use to decorate this lamp.

This letter “A” mold is 1.5″ H x 6″ x 6″ at the widest. This is a large mold and requires approximately 500 ml. Puduo 32 oz kit contains 946 ml. 473 ml of part A, and 473 ml of part B.

Ensure proper mixing techniques when using this product:

1) Measure the amounts equally using a 1:1 ratio. For example 40 ml of part a to 40 ml of part b. Note: I do not recommend trying to mix smaller than 80 ml total. This is because it makes it too easy to get the measurements just a little bit off.
2) Mix thoroughly. This does not mean to only mix for 3 minutes and call it good. This means to mix the product until it is perfectly clear. Make sure that you get the sides on the bottom of the cup really well.
3) Pour your mixture into another cup. Get as much of the product out of the cup as you can. Then mix the new mixture again. Mix it for approximately a minute.
4) Split the mixture into as many cups as you have pigments. For instance, if you are only using red, black, and clear, split it into three cups. Mix the pigments in well. Then let the product set for approximately 15 minutes to release all of the bubbles and begin its exothermic reaction.

Cleaning Up After Using Puduo Resin

No matter how careful you are, at some point in time, you will get resin on your skin. Resin needs to be removed right away to avoid allergies or irritation. Epoxy resin does not wash off fully with just hand soap and water. You need something with the power to break down the epoxy.

Solvents can be absorbed through the skin and should never be used to clean resin off of the hands. We recommend a product that has an exfoliant. Puduo is proud to announce that we will be coming out with a hand cleaner specifically designed to remove Puduo Resin! This product will be released soon. Please be sure to sign up for our email newsletter to stay up to date on new releases, deals, giveaways, and more!

Best PPE Practices:

Protecting yourself from getting resin on your skin is our number 1 recommendation. Wear gloves! Latex gloves can cause an allergic reaction, so we recommend Nitrile gloves. Cover any exposed areas of your skin with a shirt, pants, etc. Change your gloves whenever they get resin on them to avoid spreading the resin to other objects. Have paper towels handy for easy clean up of spills. You can wipe your gloved hand off with a paper towel to remove excess epoxy.

How To Remove Epoxy Resin From Tools and Surfaces

You can use a solvent such as 91% rubbing alcohol to safely and easily remove resin from tools and surfaces. Wear gloves when cleaning up so the solvent doesn’t soak into your skin. Use a clean paper towel. Pour the rubbing alcohol on the paper towel. Then wipe off the tool or surface. Throw away paper towel after use.

Solvents such as alcohol, acetone, and vinegar can be used to clean surfaces and tools, but should never be used on the skin.
